daz astra merit 1.4i 1995 hello can any1 help me big time!!engine managment light comes on anywhere between 1sec or 10mins down the road grrr ive put new rotor arm plus distributer cap,idle speed valve(stepper motor)leads and plugs and it still coming on and if you turn it off and try starting it again it wont not till about 5-10mins later any ideas plz ps been told it may be a potentiometer wot ever that is cheers 4 any help  CLICK HERE to post your answer/comment Date Posted 31/01/2007

George it could be the throttle pot, it could be many other things, it needs plug in diagnosis at a dealer or fuel injection type specialist to find the real cause.you could try a second hand potentiometer.  CLICK HERE to post your answer/comment Date Posted 01/02/2007   jason there is 2 types of data link connectors one for the early model then one for the later model so lets hope you have the early model as this can be tested by yourself. so first do you no where the data link connector is. if you email me @ turkysick@yahoo.com i'll send you how to do it.  CLICK HERE to post your answer/comment Date Posted 02/02/2007
