| overfilled oil can cause a helluva lotta smoke - it happened to me with hire van (sorry hertz) - it also caused the engine to flood and the vehicle to over accelerate so do be careful. would suggest an oil drain/change. |

| as steve said too much oil could be a problem, has anyone checked to see if the level is correct? also it would be worth keeping an eye on the water level(only check water in cooling system when engine is cold to avoid the danger of burns from scaulding water under pressure!!). if no water loss is noticed then probably not a cylinder head problem. does this smoke hang in the air for a long time and have a blueish tinge(usually this is caused by oil). what mileage has the car done? |

hi stella, this is a typical head gasket gone, the water is mixing with the fuel and huge amounts of white smoke from exhaust is the outcome. have it checked out.
good luck kevin |
