Johann Nissan X-Trail 2,2 TDi 2002 my nissan x-trail 2,2d (same as the primera p12 engine – yd22ddti) does not start when cold. have to spray "quick start" into the air intake to get it running. once started it runs really well with plenty of power. also does not have a problem starting when hot. nissan's diagnostics does not pick-up any problems and have frankly given up on me. diesel experts can not help. i have even changed the rings to increase compression, changed injectors, replaced cam sensor, also checked fuel supply and even fitted a small electric pump in the tank line to insure that fuel gets to the diesel pump. sos, is there anybody out there that has experienced the same problem, rather has anybody resolved a similar problem.  CLICK HERE to post your answer/comment Date Posted 23/08/2008
