| is this the transit engine?has it a cable from the peddle or is it electronic?if it has a cable control,there is more likely to be a fault in the pump,but check the operation of the egr valve,just to be sure it's ok,if its electronic there may be a fault at the throttle potentiometer or the ecu,or again in the pump itself,again,check egr valve is operating ok.check also that all external linkeages are not worn/loose.if it is the pump these can usually be repaired by your local fuel injection specialist,typically around £200,it would also be worth checking the rest of the fuel system,filters,lift pump etc,good luck. |
