check for diesel leaks look around injectors, most important on any diesel is replacing fuel filter this prevents water from getting into injector pump where it does big damage if you are going to attempt changing it make sure you fill with clean diesel before refitting do not touch accelerator just turn it over till it fires on no account rev it
