| once you've got it open (preferably not the crowbar method) ensure you lubricate all the moving parts as the more you pull on it the more it stretches (well that's what my dad said when i was a teenager), the cable, that is :-). it's a very common complaint with the laguna. |

| place the front of the car on axle stands----apply hand brake and chock the back wheels-----remove the sump guard ---reach up between the front of the engine and the radiator and feel for the locks----move lock to the side to unlatch.-------ther is a repair kit for this fault costs about £100. |
